Yet again I can see why I'm not missing anything by not watching that ridiculous show. The only reason why they passed that ... errr ... whatever ... was because he sortof cut down Simon.
i think that after cutting down (could it be) hundreds of performers, it's not unnatural to at least allow ourselves a small wry smile when the tables are (so effectively) turned on simon.
i must say that, now in my forties, i've become much less judgmental and more accepting of the range of ways of being gay - even this perhaps old-fashioned kind of humour.
i used to take the classic and correct sexual political stance but now think this might have been a bit narrow and not inclusive enough
